Our Mission: We bring people together to advance climate and environmental justice.
Our Team
Since 2019, Holly and Devon have partnered in advancing racial and social justice through collaborative, community-centered work. With training in climate science and environmental and social justice advocacy, we bring an interdisciplinary perspective to the challenges communities face today. As experienced science communicators, we combine qualitative insight with quantitative analysis to translate complex information into meaningful, accessible knowledge. A shared vision of communities growing side-by-side guides our work—building equitable, sustainable futures.
Devon Reynolds, PhD
Principal

"I work for a world where everyone thrives. That work means collective effort to build the power of people who experience the worst impacts of our current systems. I use my expertise in social science to develop strategy that cuts through power imbalances. My experience with academic and policy texts allows me to translate dense language into accessible information."

Devon brings eight years of social science research experience with a focus on environmental justice, climate finance and corporate environmental accountability. She also has ten years of experience working on environmental justice policy and strategy. She pairs deep analysis with practical experience to support strong coalitions and strategic campaigns.
EDUCATION
PhD in Environmental Studies
University of Colorado Boulder
Devon's doctoral research investigated climate actions taken by large investment funds in order to understand the social influences on their climate-related decision-making.

BA in Africana Studies
Brown University
Devon developed her understanding of environmental injustice and put her knowledge into action through allyship of environmental justice movements and community-based research in the Brazilian Amazon.

Holly Olivarez, PhD
Principal

"I am a communicator who now does science. As a mixed race scholar of Chickasaw Nation descent, I commit to using my position to communicate climate and environmental justice in accessible ways. I recognize that using my lived experiences and identities are what help make communities stronger. Connection is almost always the answer, and bringing humanity into science is key."

With nearly ten years of Earth system science research experience focused on the ocean as Earth's largest carbon reservoir, Holly analyzes trends and projections to be able to communicate what can be done to slow and/or reverse Earth's rapidly changing climate. She has also worked for three years on the ethics and societal interactions of climate intervention.

EDUCATION
PhD in Environmental Studies
University of Colorado Boulder

Holly's research focused on the marine carbon cycle and the ocean's role in climate change. her work resulted in three first-author, peer-reviewed scientific publications.

BS in Earth & Planetary Studies
University of New Mexico

Holly gained an understanding of Earth's geology and climate system, and worked in a geochemistry lab where she proved to herself how we know man's activities are the cause of Earth's currently rapidly changing climate.
